Nasz projekt dobiega końca, dlatego w tym wpisie chciałybyśmy podsumować całą naszą pracę. 

W przeciągu ostatnich 4 miesięcy starałyśmy się w ciekawy sposób przybliżyć wam historię muzyki brytyjskiej zaczynając w latach 60, a kończąc wpisem o współczesnym muzyku.

Jak się okazało, Music-blast-from-the-past zyskał czytelników także poza granicami Polski, a mianowicie w USA, co było dla nas bardzo miłym zaskoczeniem!

Dziękujemy za zaglądanie na naszą stronę i mamy nadzieję, że udało nam się wciągnąć was w świat muzyki brytyjskiej.

Kolejnym zaskoczeniem jest dla nas popularność bloga,na koniec projektu było łącznie ponad 400 wyświetleń !!!

Our project is coming to the end so today we would like to sum up our activity.

In the last 4 months we were trying to closer you the history of British music and we're 99% sure that it worked! 

As it turned out, Music-blast-from-the-past gained readers not only in Poland but also in USA, which was really nice surprise!

Thank you for peering on our blog and we hope that you loved British music world as much as we did.

Another big surprise is a popularity of our website! In the end of the project we go over 400 displays !!!

Samuel Frederick Smith to jeden z wielu wielkich brytyjski artystów XXI wieku. 

Zdobył rozpoznawalność dzięki nagraniu partii wokalnych w utworze „Latch” duetu Disclosure w 2012 roku.

W maju 2014 roku ukazała się jego debiutancka płyta studyjna zatytułowana In the Lonely Hour promowana przez single „Lay Me Down”, „Money on My Mind”, „Stay with Me”, „I’m Not the Only One” i „Like I Can”.

Sam Smith otrzymał cztery Nagrody Grammy w kategoriach: Najlepszy nowy artysta, 

a także Najlepsze nagranie roku,Piosenka roku (za utwór „Stay with Me”) oraz Najlepszy wokalny album popowy (za płytę In the Lonely Hour).

Samuel Frederick Smith is one of the most wellknown British singers of the XXI.

He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch"

He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 on Capitol Records.

In December 2014, Smith was nominated for six Grammy Awards, and at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2015 he won four: Best New Artist, "Stay with Me" for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and In the Lonely Hour for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Spice Girls 

The Spice Girls był to brytyjski zespół założony w 1994 roku.

Debiutancki singel "Wannabe" pojawił się w sklepach 8 lipca 1996, po pierwszym tygodniu sprzedaży znajdując się na szóstym miejscu, po drugim tygodniu piosenka była na trzecim miejscu, a po trzecim tygodniu weszła na szczyt listy i pozostała tam przez 7 tygodni, stając się jednym z największych hitów lat 90. i docierając do pierwszego miejsca list przebojów w ponad 32 krajach.

They were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single "Wannabe" in 1996, which hit number one in more than 30 countries and helped establish the group as a global phenomenon. Their debut album Spice sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in music history.

Oto dwie propozycje, aby usłyszeć i zobaczyć kultowy, brytyjski zespół- Queen:)

Po pierwsze QUEEN W POLSCE!

21 lutego na jedynym koncercie w Krakowie wystąpi Queen+Adam Lambert. 

Dla wszystkich polecamy także obejrzenie koncertu Queen Rock Montreal na dużym ekranie!

Pokaz odbędzie się 19 lutego o godzinie 20.00 w Multikinie.

W latach 80 Queen był jednym z najlepszych zespołów rockowych na świecie.

Queen powstał w 1971 roku. 

Początkowy skład zespołu to:

 Freddie Mercury,

  Brian May, 

 John Deacon,

 Roger Taylor

W 1973 podpisali swój pierwszy kontrakt z EMI. Również w tym roku ukazał się ich pierwszy album, QUEEN. 

"Another One Bites the Dust" był ich najlepiej sprzedającym się singlem. 

W 1991 Mercury zmarł z powodu AIDS, a Deacon przeszedł na emeryturę w 1997. Od tej pory May oraz Taylor grali okazjonalnie wliczając w to współpracę z wokalistą Paulem Rogersem pod nazwą Queen + Paul Rogers, która zakończyła się w maju 2009 roku. Od 2011 roku May i Taylor pracowali z piosenkarzem Adamem Lambertem pod nazwą Queen + Adam Lambert. W roku 2014 Queen wydał nowy album "Queen Forever" z ostatnimi piosenkami Freddiego Mercury. 

Zespół wydał łącznie 18 albumów, 18  singli oraz 10  DVD.  Rekordowa sprzedaż sięga od 150 do 300 milionów płyt. Tym samym zostali jednymi z najlepiej sprzedających się artystów na świecie.

80's - czas rozkwitu muzyki rockowej

W latach 80 ogromny sukces odniósł brytyjski piosenkarz Shakin' Stevens znany także jako „Shaky”.Jednakże jego prawdziwe nazwisko to Michael Barratt.

Shakin' Stevens jest rock and rollowym piosenkarzem, który urodził się w Walii. Swoją karierę muzyczną rozpoczął w roku 1968. Wówczas współpracował także z zespołem The Sunsets,który zwyciężył w plebiscycie magazynu „New Musical Express”. Zdobył wtedy tytuł najlepszej grupy koncertowej w Wielkiej Brytanii.

W 1981 roku jego przebój "This Ole House" trafił na pierwsze miejsce brytyjskiej listy przebojów oraz stał się międzynarodowym hitem. 

Stevens zakończył dekadę jako najlepiej sprzedający się singlowy twórca.

Można wspomnieć, że piosenkarz pojawił się także w Polsce m.in. na Festiwalu w Sopocie w 2008 czy na koncercie w Warszawie.

Ciekawostką jest to,że na koncertach zawsze pojawiał się w białych butach.

In the 80's a huge success won the British singer Shakin' Stevens known as "Shaky". However his real name is Michael Barratt.

Shakin' Stevens is a rock and roll singer, who was born in Wales. His musical career began in 1968. At that time he also collaborated with The Sunsets, who won in a poll of the magazine "New Musical Express". He won the title of the best band in UK.

In 1981 his hit single This Ole House came in first place of British charts and became at international hit.

It can be mentioned that the singer also appeard in Poland on the Sopot Festival and also at the concert in Warsaw.

Steven's ended the decade as the best-selling singles creator.

Curiosity about him is that he always appears in white shoes during concerts.

W latach 70 sławny stał się brytyjski zespół The Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones jest to legendarna grupa rockowa, działająca od ponad 40 lat.

Zespół powstał w Londynie w 1962 roku po przypadkowym spotkaniu dwóch kolegów ze szkoły podstawowej: Micka Jaggera oraz Keitha Richardsa.

Swoją pierwszą płytę, zatytułowaną  „The Rolling Stones”, wydali w 1964 r. Stonesi szybko zajęli pierwsze miejsca list przebojów. Do tej pory ukazało się około 50 płyt Stonesów, nie licząc wydawnictw okolicznościowych i składanek.

W 1986 roku zespół otrzymał Nagrodę Grammy za całokształt twórczości.

The Rolling Stones - legendary rock band operating for 40 years.

It was created in London in 1962 after old schoolmates : Mick Jagger and Keith Richards bumped into each other.

They released  1st album in 1964 and it was called "The Rolling Stones".  

Stones quickly took 1st places on many hit list. The Rolling Stones released  over 50 albums.
